ARTS EXPERIENCE OPENING DAY (and a peek at Tuesday’s happenings)

Well, I missed my chance to take “Theatre Games.” I reviewed the class on line last week, ARTSLogo-2013_wfthought about it for an hour then went to register and it was FULL! Lesson learned:  If you see something you are interested in, sign-up. It is great to see the Arts Experience moving to locations throughout the community – oh yeah, “Community” this year’s theme. Movement and dance at Boys and Girls Club. What a great idea! There’s room left in workshops and talks on TUESDAY:  Carrie Bergeron, self advocate, motivational speaker and Zumba leader! The Scandling Center is the location for both of these events starting at noon tomorrow, 3/31.  At 1:30, go dance in the HWS dance studio.  No prior experience necessary, this is improvisational. Go out, have fun, get creative! Everyday until April 10th there is something to get creatively involved in. Just come to the Arts Experience at Hobart & Wm Smith Colleges in Geneva, NY. Everyone is welcome!

Arts Experience = SPRING!

ARTSLogo-2013_wfWow! The Arts fest is nearly here, so it MUST be SPRING, right? I’m starting to have oasis like experiences, though triggered by snow: it’s all starting to look like sand to me…but it’s true, the 6th Annual ARTS Experience, a two-week festival celebrating inclusion and the arts, begins in ONE WEEK, March 30, right through to April 10th. So yes, come out, get creative, include yourself, your friends, neighbors, and colleagues and bring in the SPRING!  Geneva’s Hobart and William Smith Colleges campus transforms into a wonderful sea of people with all sorts of abilities, disabilities and talents. It is a grand explosion of art, a truly remarkable site. Day after day there’s music, painting/sculpting, craft, dance, theatre, drum circles, beep baseball and more. Workshops and events are FREE, wheelchair ACCESSIBLE, OPEN to the public, and take place on the HWS campus.  So come out and be one of the lucky 1,000 attendees and conjure up the SPRING with your creative self! Hope to see you there!
