Established by family members in 1953, The Arc is a well-respected nonprofit agency that supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families in Chemung County in Central New York. The agency provides quality supports for individual growth by providing opportunities for increased independence and participation in the community. The Arc of Chemung supports more than 800 individuals annually, with an operating budget of $24 million, primarily from government funding sources.  The Arc offers four types of supports: family, residential, vocational, & developmental health.
